Scientists of the Institute of Animal Biology of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS) — Vasyl Todoriuk, Taras Prudyus, and Andrii Voltornistyi — participated in the 10th Anniversary International Agricultural Innovation Forum “Nove Zernyatko 2026.”
The forum was held on June 18–19 in the village of Nastasiv, Ternopil region, on the eve of Farmers' Day. As in previous years, the event was organized by Agroprodservice, which hosted the forum at its demonstration fields and production facilities. Over the past decade, Nove Zernyatko has evolved from a local initiative into one of the largest agricultural platforms in Western Ukraine, bringing together agricultural producers, researchers, agribusiness representatives, farmers, technology providers, and industry experts.
This year's forum welcomed more than 5,000 participants and over 200 partner companies, showcasing modern agricultural machinery, seeds, crop protection products, veterinary medicines, feed additives, digital solutions, and a wide range of other innovative products and technologies for the agricultural sector.
The event featured an extensive and diverse program. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest crop varieties and hybrids, visit a modern seed processing plant and laboratory complex, tour a commercial dairy farm and livestock exhibition, and observe state-of-the-art agricultural machinery operating under field conditions at the demonstration site. Special attention was devoted to topics such as the European integration of Ukraine's agricultural sector, energy independence, the development of bioenergy, and the implementation of innovative technologies that are already transforming modern farming practices.
For the scientists of the Institute of Animal Biology of NAAS, participation in events of this kind is of particular importance. Direct communication with producers, farmers, agribusiness representatives, and industry professionals provides valuable insight into the current needs of the agricultural sector, particularly in the fields of animal production, nutrition, veterinary support, productivity improvement, and animal health. Such close interaction between science and industry helps shape practice-oriented research whose results can be effectively implemented in the real economy.
A special emphasis of the forum was the expression of gratitude to the Defense Forces of Ukraine, whose dedication makes it possible to hold such events, support economic development, and foster professional cooperation within the agricultural community.
Once again, Nove Zernyatko confirmed its status as a unique platform where traditional agricultural experience is combined with the technologies of the future, and where science, business, and agricultural production work side by side to strengthen an innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive Ukrainian agricultural sector.
